This little quilt is part of a full size quilt that was never used or
washed. The center was destroyed, but I saved some parts and bound them
with fabric from the original quilt. This quilt is backed with a fine
weave linen which is also a clue to the date. Pre civil war quilts,
created by affluent families, were many times backed with linen fabric.
Completely hand pieced and hand quilted. The background fabric is
unused.
Little quilts are perfect for that hard to decorate space, as part of a
grouping or as a table topper for a special table.
